Jor-El sent his son to earth to ensure his son’s survival. It was believed that he also died along with his people who were not able to escape their planet’s destruction. But contrary to his son’s belief about him, Jor-El was able to survive.

Clark discovers that his father survived and that he is in fact on earth. Clark, Jor-El’s son, will embark on a mission to look for his father. Zod also finds out about Jor-El and discovers that he can get the power he wants to rule this planet.
