Smallville is a television series based on the adventures of the DC comic character Superman. The show was developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The television series first aired on The WB back in 2001 and then transferred to The CW. Smallville is considered the longest running series based on a comic book.

Smallville follows the adventures of the young Clark Kent who is played by Tom Welling. Clark Kent lives in the fictional town of Smallville in Kansas before he becomes the famous DC comic character Superman. The series started when Clark was in his high school days and then later on progress as Clark gets older until he works for the Daily Planet.
The show stars Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, the love interest of Clark Kent when he was still young. Lana always felt a connection with Clark. Lex Luthor, the billionaire’s son who was sent to Smallville to manage their local fertilizer plant business is played by Michael Rosenbaum. Chloe Sullivan, played by Allison Mack, is one of Clark’s best friends during his high school days. She has always had feelings with Clark but never did reveal it to him. San Jones III plays the role of Clark’s best friend named Pete Ross. Pete is the first person Clark confided about his secret.
